General Limitations

We can not carry any hazardous, explosive or inflammable substances with the exception of fuel already in the tanks of motorised equipment, or gas bottles in caravans.
We are transport and haulage specialists. We are NOT a removals business. We CAN transport items of furniture, but we do NOT carry items up and down stairs, nor do we manoeuvre awkwardly shaped or sized items in restricted spaces or through narrow doorways!

Weight Related Limitations

We choose to use Double Cab Pickup Trucks with a variety of trailers to optimise the flexibility of our operations. We therefore need to know all about your proposed load to select the most effective vehicle or combination to transport it.

We ask relevant questions to narrow down the choice. The main factors are the overall weight of the load, and the weight of the heaviest individual component of the load (if applicable).

  • The maximum weight that can be manually handled by one person is 30kg
  • The absolute maximum weight that can be manually handled is 60kg
    • This entails using 2 people. You will be asked whether you wish us to supply the second handler, or whether you will supply them yourself.
  • ALL weights in excess of 60kg (and some awkwardly shaped ones below 60kg) require the use of the correct lifting equipment with valid, in-date certification, at both collection and delivery points.
    • For example, palletised loads may be best handled by forklift truck. You will be asked whether you wish us to organise lifting equipment or whether you will organise/provide such yourself.
  • The maximum weight for self-propelled or rolling loads such as motorcycles; quad bikes; lawn mowers etc is 220kg where they are to be carried in the truck bed loaded by ramp.
    • Options to transport heavier items will depend on availability of a suitable trailer.
  • The maximum weight we can tow is 3500kg. This includes the weight of the trailer.

Dimensional Limitations

To take advantage of our special Local Rates, your load needs to fit into the bed of our truck, as well as satisfying location and weight limitations. The maximum footprint we can accommodate is 2500mm x 1450mm.
